Overview

Four or five fellows per year

  • Fellows share clinical responsibilities & calls
  • Rotating schedules

Fellows on the consult and electrodiagnostic services

  • Make inpatient rounds with attendings
  • Teach resident(s) who are rotating on the neuromuscular service
  • Attends most outpatient clinics

Fellows who are off the consult and electrodiagnostic services

  • Attend all outpatient clinics
  • Elective time: electrodiagnostics, ultrasound and research

All fellows conduct a clinical or lab research project

Fellows who stay for a 2nd or 3rd year

  • Do clinical or laboratory research
  • Attend a half-day weekly neuromuscular clinic
  • Perform EMGs & neuromuscular pathology as interested

Outcomes

  • Academic clinical practice: 70%
  • Non-academic clinical practice: 30%
